ABOUT DEK OF HEARTS
DEK of Hearts is a powerhouse country-pop trio comprised of Dylan John, Emily Clapp, and Kollin Bailey. With their band name originating from the first letter of each member’s first name—Dylan, Emily, Kollin—DEK of Hearts blends country, pop, and bluegrass influences with soaring three-part harmonies and undeniable onstage chemistry.
Having met while attending Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville and officially establishing themselves as a trio upon graduating in April 2024, their musical foundation began in worship music before expanding to churches, festivals, theaters, and premier venues across the country.
Featured on Season 28 of NBC’s The Voice, the trio earned a rare 4-chair turn that famously put Reba McEntire on the floor. Later crowned the official Mic Drop Winner during the Knockout Round, they advanced to the Top 3 finalists of the season, culminating in a Grand Finale appearance in the Rose Parade before more than 40 million television viewers worldwide. Their journey has resonated widely, amassing more than 26 million views across social media and earning national features in People Magazine, American Songwriter, EntertainmentNOW, and NBC’s Today Show.
The trio was named a winner of the 2025 Tennessee Songwriters Week competition, earning an exclusive showcase at the iconic Bluebird Cafe. In May 2026, DEK of Hearts made their Grand Ole Opry debut, marking another milestone in their rapidly growing career.
Continuing to build momentum on the road, DEK of Hearts has shared stages with artists including Carly Pearce, Rhonda Vincent, and Niko Moon across the United States and Canada. With compelling harmonies, dynamic performances, and heartfelt storytelling, DEK of Hearts continues to connect deeply with audiences while redefining the modern country-pop trio.
MEET THE MEMBERS
Dylan John – The “D” of DEK
From Munroe Falls, Ohio, Dylan grew up in a home filled with music. His dad sang in a quartet, sparking Dylan’s passion from day one. He was singing the national anthem and playing guitar before most kids could do their multiplication tables, and that early start shaped the creative force he is today. His smooth vocals, pop flair, and natural musical agility bring a modern spark to the trio’s sound and harmonies. Dylan is also an incredible songwriter whose creativity and lyrical instinct play a major role in shaping DEK of Hearts’ original music.
Emily Clapp – The “E” of DEK
Emily, from Terre Haute, Indiana, was raised in a family of traveling worship ministers. Some of her earliest memories are holding a microphone on stage, singing alongside her family. Her powerhouse vocals and magnetic stage presence captivate audiences instantly. Emily brings unmatched strength, emotion, and dynamic range that help define the trio’s signature sound.
Kollin Bailey – The “K” of DEK
Kollin, from Marshfield, Missouri, grew up immersed in the bluegrass and country world. From a young age, he was playing mandolin, singing harmony, and learning from the rich musical traditions around him. His warm, rich tone and acoustic sensibilities add the bluegrass-infused foundation of DEK’s harmonies. Kollin brings depth, storytelling, and a timeless country flair that rounds out the trio’s unique blend.
